Specioza

Specioza is a single mother who lives in Kiboga, Uganda. She is part of a group of women in her community who have opened their homes and families to taking in and raising children who have been orphaned. She is raising three children from the community - Joyce, Alex, and Isaac. Specioza is currently a tailor who makes and sells women's clothing and is expanding her business through our economic empowerment program to include children's shoes.

You can partner with Specioza to empower her to raise her children well, and see her family thrive. $360 or $30 per month will fund her training and small business loan for one year.

Specioza's 2017 Update:

Specioza is currently selling fabric and making dresses for women in her community. She has been using her funding for the purchase of new materials and her next step is to add more stock and hopefully get her own space. Her biggest challenge thus far has been paying someone else to edge clothing because she cannot afford the machine.
