Kate's 2016 Update:

 

Kate is two years old and is being raised by a young single mother in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Her father was killed in an accident two years ago, around the time of her birth. Her mother, Maveline, is currently apprenticing to learn trade skills through our microfinance program. Kate has an older brother, Briton, and an older sister named Voclyn. She is very shy and hesitant around strangers. She likes to eat rice, and she will start preschool in a year. Her mother is in need of the resources to be able to send Kate to a safe daycare while she works. Your sponsorship will help Kate to have access to the educational and nutritional resources that she needs to thrive!
